Rating the Suburbs: Bryan Holt

May. 27, 2015 | 4:00 AM

Bryan Holt can sometimes be a little soil-caked. Not that he minds — it's all part of the job. One of three horticultural staff members for the city of Brecksville, the 40-year-old spends his days planting annuals, turning fallen trees into mulch and preserving the city's 20 years of Tree City USA certifications. A lifelong Brecksville resident, Holt lives in his parents' former house with his wife, Meredith, and two daughters — 6-year-old Alyson and 21-month-old Kaitlyn. Holt introduces us to the restaurants, festivals and shops that make up his old stomping grounds.
