We have a new rec centerthat’s about 7 or 8 years old. It’s pretty state-of-the-art. It’s got a nice pool, a great workout area, indoor track.
Strongsville has got a pretty good reputation. If you follow high school sports, they’ve got good teams in soccer and football and wrestling and basketball and baseball. So I think a lot of people here are into sports.
If you want to go shopping, you can go to the mall; if you want to do your own thing and be out in the country a little bit, you can go in the park system. There are a lot of nice picnic areas there.
They were building a lot of houses in the late ’80s, early ’90s. A lot of people just migrated out this way, and we kinda followed.
We have a travel baseball organization; we have 34 travel teams this year between the ages of 8 and 18 years old. Probably most popular ages for the travel is 11-, 12-, 13-year-olds.
We have five or six teams at every age, so you don’t have to be a top player to make a travel team.
