Not Deja Vu, Groundhog Day

To be sure, Bill Murray is not involved in Cleveland's second annual Groundhog Day celebration. But Cleveland Mayor Jane Campbell, Cleveland Magazine cover girl Carol Chandler and Cleveland State University president Michael Schwartz will participate.

The party takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 2 at the CSU Convocation Center and includes a silent auction, entertainment, games and contests. Admission is $20. The silent auction is benefit the CSU Women's Athletic Fund.

Move, Don't Move

Lakewood's Dead Horse Gallery plays host to an exhibit through Feb. 23 of Objects That Don't Move. The display includes paintings, ceramics and other works by Anthony Schepis, Robert Jergens, Patricia Zinsmeister Parker, Marvin Smith, Marvin Jones, Amy Casey, Terrie Garrard, Kimberly Engel, Steven Kasner, Douglas Max Utter, Robert Thurmer, Terry Durst, Roy Bigler, Myrna London Aidlin and Laura D'Alessandro.

Spoofing Broadway

Broadway musicals are the butt of myriad jokes in Carousel Dinner Theatre's production of "Forbidden Broadway," playing through Mar. 3. The play is a roast in the truest sense of the word, sparing no show from its satire.

Carousel Dinner Theater is located 1275 E. Waterloo Road in Akron. Dinner is served Tues-Thurs. at 6 p.m. and shows begin at 8 p.m. On Friday and Saturday, dinner is served at 6 p.m. and shows begin at 8:30 p.m. Sunday's dinner is served at 3 p.m. and the performance begins at 5 p.m.
