Champions walk the course
Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Lee Trevino and a host of other legendary golfers stop in Akron this weekend to vie for the 2002 Senior PGA Tour Championship.
The competition (June 6-9) is the first for Nicklaus at Firestone since 1986 (see The Return of Jack Nicklaus for more).

Dean Martin Day
Ohio Gov. Bob Taft has declared June 7 "Dean Martin Day," and Steubenville has planned a host of weekend activities to mark the occasion.
On June 7 at 1 p.m., the governor will oversee a plaque dedication ceremony. At 6 p.m., a film festival begins at Jefferson Community College, and the celebration continues with a pizza party at Mario's in Weirton at 10 p.m.

It's only rock and roll
Ronnie Dunn and Kix Brooks are bringing their version of the circus to town June 9 at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls.
