Take Two

Going beyond the glossy pages of a magazine to the spontaneous world of artistry, the Great Lakes Publishing Gallery Show 2005: Beyond the Printed Page will return to the ArtMetro Gallery, Cleveland's largest commercial gallery. The opening reception, Jan. 21, will jump-start a monthlong celebration of art, music and photography by our talented artists. Flashes of Brilliance

The Kent State University community paid tribute to how good deeds and quality students enrich an entire educational environment at the Founders Scholars Ball Nov. 13 at Executive Caterers at Landerhaven.

Kent State honored the benefactors who contributed to advance the school's academic programs, faculty and facilities, and the students who have benefited from their generosity. Highlighting the evening was the presentation of the university's Lifetime Philanthropy Award to Kent State emeritus professors Art and Margaret Herrick. Great Lakes Publishing was a sponsor.
