Marjorie Prime
This drama is the perfect play for fans of Black Mirror. Like an episode of the popular sci-fi anthology, Marjorie Prime imagines a future where technology becomes a substitute for human connection. The 2015 Pulitzer Prize finalist follows an elderly woman who finds herself with artificial intelligence version of her late husband that’s meant to save her fading memories. Cleveland Beer Week
Throw back the best beers Cleveland has to offer. And Willoughby. And the Flats. In its ninth year, Cleveland Beer Week takes craft beer lovers on a tour with events throughout the area. Its opening night event features craft beer tastings from local breweries and sprawls throughout five different neighborhoods. Stumble back for the “Liquid Scavenger Hunt” through Tremont, a chocolate showcase at the Heinen’s Downtown Cleveland, and a farm crawl at Mapleside Farms with a hayride, corn maze, a 300-foot super slide and tastings from breweries throughout the country. $20-$100 per event, Oct. 13-22, Various locations, clevelandbeerweek.org
Made to Create
Meet the artists in the middle of Cleveland’s art renaissance. Made to Create Studios, a photography studio in Gordon Square Arts District, commemorates a year since its opened its doors by showcasing original art by 11 local artists, including work by Corey Forde, Devin Chhing and Destanie Rodriguez. Trick or Treat Yo Self
There’s no denying yourself this Saturday.
