View A Movie Outdoors

Grab some blankets and popcorn for a park flick on the big screen.

An air-conditioned theater is nice, but you don’t have to hole up indoors to enjoy a film this summer with Crocker Park’s Movies in the Park. Thursday at dusk from June 2 through Aug. 25, moviegoers can take in a family-friendly flick on a large inflatable screen on a lawn behind GameStop. “People bring their blankets, bring chairs, set up on the lawn,” says Lisa Schwan, director of communications for Stark Enterprises. “It’s just a really relaxed and unique atmosphere.” This year, catch a mix of buzzworthy recent releases and throwbacks including Star Wars: The Force Awakens June 16 and The Breakfast Club July 14. 189 Crocker Park Blvd., Westlake, crockerpark.com
