Watch Sparks Fly At Rock N' Blast

Catch the big show with the Indian's this August.

Besides Opening Day, the Cleveland Indians’ Rock N’ Blast is one of the biggest — and loudest — games of the season. Following last summer’s decade anniversary of the fireworks-laden celebration, this year’s Rock N’ Blast Aug. 12 and 13 aims to amp things up even more with a “One Louder” theme. While the normal Friday-night show shoots off around 3,500 pyrotechnic effects in roughly eight to 10 minutes, Rock N’ Blast now has 12,000 effects that’ll be synced to themed music and video. “It’s hundreds of hours of work,” says Jason Kidik, director of live experience. “But when we’re all said and done, and the lights and pyro goes off, and with fans oohing and ahhing — that’s what makes it all worth it.” 2401 Ontario St., Cleveland, 216-420-4200, indians.com
