Meowmaste Cat Yoga
If you’re still struggling to find your inner yogi, maybe a room full of rescuable kittens will help center you. Meowmaste founder Margo Bell offers a class each month ($15) at the Cleveland Animal Protective League where students can snuggle, play or Simba-hold feline friends during a vinyasa flow session — and even adopt one. “We try not to do a lot of standing poses because the more you’re down by them, the more they’ll come up and snuggle,” she says. 1729 Willey Ave., Cleveland, 216-771-4616
Yoga in the Gallery
Yoga is thought to relax, inspire and even spur creativity. Immerse yourself in a Slow Flow twice-weekly class at Canopy Collective and be surrounded by works from local artists. This donation-based class allows students to explore a very fluid series of movements, complemented by the studio’s revolving set of visual stimulants. “All that creative force into these specific spaces, it really helps fuel people into their own creative ways,” says instructor Lynn Rodemann. 3910 Lorain Ave., Cleveland, 216-309-1090, canopy-collective.com
Yoga With Goats
If you haven’t tried goat yoga, you’re missing out on an udderly awesome experience, says Tanna Torkelson. Held Saturdays ($25) at Downs On the Farm in Amherst, the class works through a traditional yoga session while baby Nigerian goats roam around and jump on backs and knees mid-pose. The animals help students loosen up and be more open. “Usually, people are trying to be very stoic and serious, whereas here they’re open to giggles and holding each other up.” 49456 Telegraph Road, Amherst, 440-623-6246, threadsofwellness.com
