Tears of Silver
Think of Tears of Silver as an indie-rock version of Crosby, Stills & Nash. Made up of former members of the Posies, Mercury Rev, R.E.M., and the Flaming Lips, the set list for this new supergroup’s first tour includes performances of tracks from throughout each members’ career as well as new songs recorded for the band’s debut EP. Tears of Silver also keeps its shows intimate, by playing at unconventional venues at each stop of its tour, like the tiny Survival Kit Gallery. $20-$100, Oct. 7, 7-10 p.m., 78th Street Studios, 1305 W. 80th St., Suite 303, tearsofsilver.space
