The Cleveland Browns give Joe Burrow his first career win in Cleveland in a 21-14 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Radio host and CM contributor Dennis Manoloff breaks down his three takeaways, brought to you by Absolute Roofing.
Here are DMan's three takeaways from the Oct. 20 matchup:
Takeaway One: Deshaun Watson's Injury
Watson suffered a likely ruptured Achilles in the first half, ending his day and possibly his season. Although his performance has been questioned, his injury is a significant setback for
the team. He had shown some momentum on the drive when he went down with a non-contact injury.
Takeaway Two: Dorian Thompson-Robinson Steps In
After Watson's exit, Thompson-Robinson was called up and displayed some promising moments. Yet, his performance wasn't enough to turn the game around. Questions linger about why the
Browns delayed notifying him that he might be the backup, especially with Jameis Winston available.
Takeaway Three: Stefanski's Struggles Continue
Penalties and sloppy play marked another game under Kevin Stefanski’s leadership, highlighting the team's ongoing issues with discipline and consistency. What once was a promising
coaching tenure is now under scrutiny as the Browns drop to 1-6 on the season.
