Mac 'n' Cheese Throw Down
It's the cheesiest (and the yummiest) way to spend you weekend. Presented by Working Animals Giving Service for Kids, a nonprofit that provides autism service dogs around northeast Ohio, 30 different restaurants are bringing their cheesy A-game and you decide who gets to take home the prize. Beer, wine and cocktails are joining in on the fun along with three local celebrity judges such as Monica Robins, WKYC's Health Correspondent. $30. Feb. 23. Noon. In this recreation of a novel by popular Italian writer Gabriele D’Annunzio’s, join Giancarlo Giannini, Laura Antonelli and Jennifer O’Neill as they star in this sultry movie about a 19th-century Italian aristocrat who falls in love with his mistress, but suddenly wants his wife back after she finds a lover of her own. Gospel Meets Symphony
Get in harmony and lift your voice with the Akron Symphony Orchestra and Gospel singers as they combine to bring a never before experience. Since its debut in 1994 this show has been a hit. Created right here in Northeast Ohio get your ears and hands ready to revel in the glory of sounds from instrumental to vocal at this homegrown music tradition. $12.50-$60.
