Jonathan Van Ness: Road to Beijing
We don't know who gave him permission, but Netflix’s Queer Eye star, Jonathan Van Ness will be bringing his sassy-one liners to the Cleveland Masonic as part of his first worldwide comedy tour. “Yas queen!” You may be use to the fab five making you ugly cry watching them transform the lives of people on the screen but this celebrity hairstylist and meme machine will have audiences crying, laughing during his standup. Yuri’s Night: Space Party
This is one small step for man, one giant leap for party-kind! Yuri’s Night: Space Party is moonwalking back in at the Great Lakes Science Center. Nerd out and give back with this after dark museum extravaganza, where all proceeds help fund the Science Center’s: STEM education initiatives, day camp scholarships and other programs. With a space/science fiction costume contest, live music, food and more, this party aims to celebrate the Ohio's contribution to space exploration and research. $75-$80. Aaron Lee Tasjan
Southern Californian singer and songwriter Aaron Lee Tasjan will be gracing the Beachland Ballroom stage on a new note. Throwing it back to the sounds of his offbeat, psych-tinged preteen days with his recent record, Karma for Cheap, Tasjan sings his interpretation of the truths and untruths of the world we find ourselves in. American roots duo, Smooth Hound Smith, will be opening the night with their unique style of folky, garage-infused rhythm and blues. $13-$15.
