The Beck Center’s The Nutcracker
For those missing Christmas already, this classic ballet transports you right back to the holidays. The Beck Center’s ballet students have been eager to show their performance of The Nutcracker, and this weekend viewers get a chance to purchase the livestream of the fully staged show. The 60-minute ballet features the beloved tale about a girl falling into a world of toys, as the audience follows her story through various choreographed numbers. Brite Winter: TwiBright Zone Day of The Hollow Dead Weenies
Although the snow is nowhere to be seen, Brite Winter is still keeping the party going with various engaging virtual shows and performances. Episode three of their TwiBright Zone series airs this Friday and features local bands King Buu, Luvabstract and The Scenic Route, all playing live from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Laura Owens: Rerun at Transformer Station
Laura Owens is an experimental artist known for her work using oil paints, screen printing, charcoal and other mediums. Her current exhibit, Laura Owens: Rerun, features some of her old works as well new pieces created through a collaboration with nine high school students participating in the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Arts Mastery after-school program.
