Mother's Day Blooms To-Go
Let your volunteer spirit blossom together at Cleveland Botanical Gardens by creating Mother's Day bouquets for Laura’s Home Women’s Crisis Center. The center takes in women and their children who are homeless and provides them with shelter, food and therapeutic services. Just last year, it housed more than 600 women and children and served almost 100,000 meals. At Blooms To-Go, the Botanical Gardens encourage volunteers to create flower arrangements from roses, carnations and more donated by Mayesh Wholesale Florists for the women at the center. Experienced and non-experienced gardeners are welcome – all you need is your green thumb. $12, May 12, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Cleveland Botanical Gardens, 11030 East Blvd, Cleveland, 216-721-1600, cbgarden.org
