When Marnie Jo Malice decided to make a bath bomb as a gift for her friend’s baby shower, she never knew the booming success it would turn into. Soon after, she decided to start her own business, MJo Co. Handmades, on Etsy selling bath bombs, scented candles and dog products, all made by hand with natural and organic ingredients.

The results are refreshing fragrances that elevate everyday living such as her eucalyptus and spearmint bath bomb ($6), which instantly brings about relaxation during bath time. The process for making one is straightforward, but the results are outstanding. First, Malice combines cornstarch, citric acid, baking soda, epsom salt, coconut oil, vitamin E oil and the essential oil of choice which contributes to the fresh scent.

After that, she combines the mixture together with water, presses it into a spherical mold, dries it and shrink-wraps it. “I’m all about all-natural ingredients and homemade from love, straight from my hands,” Malice says. “[This is for] really anyone who has a lot on their plate, just to take the time for themselves and have some relaxation time.” facebook.com/mjoco.handmades
