From Taylor Swift to Randy Newman, Check Out This Playlist of Cleveland Songs

As the pop star releases her new song about Cleveland, we shine a light on other iconic tracks celebrating the city and its surrounding communities in Northeast Ohio.

Cleveland just got a new song on its soundtrack, courtesy of one of the world's biggest pop stars.

Today, Taylor Swift released the extended edition of The Life of a Showgirl, featuring four new tracks. One of those song titles, in particular, grabbed Northeast Ohioans' attention: "Cleveland!" — a love song that's clearly dedicated to her husband, Travis Kelce, who is from Cleveland Heights. The chorus: "Somethin' We can all agree on / But my baby likes what he likes / He already took me to Cleveland / And showed me The Heights, so hate all you like / This is the love of my life, hey, hey, hey."

It seems the celebrity couple is all about Cleveland (!) and its surrounding suburbs these days. Together, Swift and Kelce purchased a $5.35 million estate on the shore of Lake Erie in March.

Of course, it's not the first time a songwriter has found inspiration from the region. As the song gets some buzz, we decided to shine a light on other Cleveland anthems in a playlist that compiles iconic works by the likes of Michael Stanley Band, MGK, Randy Newman, R.E.M., Ian Hunter and plenty more.
