Born in 2020 during the pandemic, G.R.A.C.E. Elderberry Co. emerged from Shanda Amundsen’s 24-year background as a medical professional. As she shared her homemade cinnamon elderberry syrup with sick neighbors, demand quickly grew. 

“I was missing the career aspect of helping people,” she says. “So I decided to create a business.”

Available in three sizes through the company’s website and local retailers, Amundsen’s syrup has become a market favorite for avoiding the unpleasant taste of typical cough syrups. But rather than just a remedy for when you’re feeling under the weather, it’s also designed to be a daily immunity supplement. Customers particularly appreciate its versatility, seamlessly incorporating their daily dose into vinaigrettes, popsicles, lattes, mocktails, smoothies and more.
