Handcrafted Shopping Guide: Sarah Krisher Studio

Mixing contemporary designs with Old World techniques, this museum-worthy bracelet will charm anyone on your gift list.

If Sarah Krisher Studio’s Oval Abstract Triangle Bracelet ($220) is reminiscent of an ancient piece of jewelry you’ve seen in an art museum, there’s a good reason. Owner Sarah Krisher creates the gilded oval centerpiece in this bracelet utilizing an ancient technique called champleve, where she uses acid on the sterling silver to etch a triangular design. Krisher fills the grooves with colorful vitreous enamel and fires the piece several times at 1,500 degrees Fahrenheit. The bracelet, which is also dipped in 24-karat gold, is totally customizable by adding beads or changing up the enamel color. “There’s a nice marriage of very Old World techniques mixing in with more contemporary designs,” Krisher says. instagram.com/sarahkrisherstudio
