Oct. 19, 2015 | 4:00 AM

Growing up in Texas, Yellowcake fashion designer Valerie Mayen and other family members endured physical and emotional abuse. So, she's honoring the strength of rehabilitated women with a collection inspired by the Laura's Home crisis center for this year's Hullabaloo fashion show Nov. 7 at Red Space at Hotcards. Proceeds benefit Laura's Home and PMP Cancer Research Foundation. Mayen, who created 50 looks and 87 handmade pieces, breaks down an outfit for us.
