There is a reason so many people choose to call Lakewood home. It’s not just our location along the shores of Lake Erie or our proximity to Downtown Cleveland — it’s the energy, diversity and sense of community that make this city truly special.

On any given morning, our local restaurants and small businesses are filled with friends catching up over coffee or brunch, families spending time together and visitors discovering Lakewood’s welcoming spirit for the first time. These businesses are more than places to eat or shop; they are part of the heartbeat of our community.

Equally important are the spaces where we gather, unwind and recharge. Our parks and green spaces offer something for everyone — a quiet walk, a family outing or a moment to take in the natural beauty of the lakefront. These shared spaces reflect our commitment to wellness, accessibility and quality of life.

Lakewood’s neighborhoods add another layer of character. Historic homes, tree‑lined streets and welcoming front porches create a sense of place that feels both timeless and inviting. Whether you’ve lived here for decades or just arrived, there is a strong sense of pride and belonging that makes Lakewood feel like home.

In this issue, you’ll also read about dedicated educators who are preparing our young people for the future. We are fortunate to have outstanding educational opportunities that support residents at every stage of life.

As the world continues to change at a rapid pace, one constant remains: the strength of our community. Lakewood is more than a city — it is a network of connections, shared values and collective pride. I invite you to explore all that we have to offer and to continue being part of what makes Lakewood such a remarkable place to live.
