Shop Local: All Brides Beautiful Stocks Hard-To-Find Brands

While working as an intern at All Brides Beautiful and studying business management at Kent State University, Alicia Kanzigg was getting closer to realizing a dream: owning her own bridal store. In 2019, when the original owner retired, Kanzigg took over the Hudson shop along with head seamstress Sadie Wallack. “Brides are the happiest people, and I love to be able to help a girl with the biggest day of her life,” says the 26-year-old.

Located in a charming gray Victorian house with green shutters, All Brides Beautiful offers each bride-to-be and her entourage a private room for try-ons. The boutique also boasts an open inventory approach, which allows brides to browse the racks to choose dresses themselves, rather than relying solely on staff to identify options.

Within those racks you’ll find traditional-style dresses with modern twists such as the classic European silhouettes of Italian designer Eddy K and the intricate lace confections of Modeca, an otherwise hard-to-find Dutch brand. And with Wallack on hand, alterations are a breeze such as adding sleeves and straps, changing necklines and modifying levels of coverage. “We pride ourselves on helping brides feel relaxed while shopping,” Kanzigg says. “This should not be a stressful situation.”
