You might have seen her videos on TikTok — and now Jane Wickline's comedy will hit a bigger screen as a new cast member of Saturday Night Live.
But did you know the comedian has a connection to Northeast Ohio?
Wickline went to Oberlin College, where she was the editor-in-chief of the school's humor magazine The Grape, according to a 2021 article in the college's student-run newspaper The Oberlin Review. While she went to school at Oberlin, Wickline first got into making TikTok videos; “I try to just do things that I think are stupid and funny,” Wickline said to The Oberlin Review.
She graduated from the school in 2021.

Wickline isn't the only recent cast member to have connections to Greater Cleveland. Molly Kearney, who was named one of Cleveland Magazine's Most Interesting People this year, grew up in North Olmsted and worked summers at Put-In-Bay. (They recently left SNL after two seasons on the show.) Meanwhile, Marcello Hernandez — a current cast member — went to school at John Carroll University, where he hosted a comedy show called Marcello Live.
Tune in to catch local college grads Wickline and Hernandez on the 50th season of Saturday Night Live, which debuts on NBC on Sept. 28.
