Brite Winter might be making its way to a new home on the East Bank of the Flats this year, but the lineup is as jam packed as ever, including nearly 30 musical artists from Northeast Ohio that span over a variety of genres including acoustic, country, hip hop and heavy rock.
The annual festival, which takes place on Feb. 22, will be headlined by E-V, a longtime fixture on Cleveland’s DJ and EDM scene. Other performers include Chelsea Pastel, Da Land Brass Band, NicNacc, Will Cherry and more.
“Along with our move across the Cuyahoga River, we’re expanding the festival’s hours, introducing more kids’ programming and capping off the night with a DJ, instead of a band,” said Emily Hornack, executive director of Brite Winter, in a press release. “E-V will bring his signature high-energy style, lighting up the night under our iconic disco ball to close out this year’s festival on an unforgettable note.”
In celebration of the festival’s “Sweet 16,” Brite Winter is making a few changes. Along with change in location, from the West Bank to the East Bank, the fest will feature five stages — three outdoor and two indoor — instead of three. This year, festival goers can also enjoy the event for longer with extended hours and can end the unforgettable night with a disco-ball finale featuring E-V’s high-energy beats.
The festival’s schedule will be announced early next month.
"Every year, our team strives to provide a wide variety of genres so no matter where you are during the festival, you’re likely to hear something that interests you,” said Hornack. “With two indoor stages this year, people can take a break from the elements before exploring more of the festival.”
The festival begins at 1 p.m. Tickets for the all-day festival are on sale now starting at $12 on britewinter.com. Tickets will be sold at the door for $17. Guests can purchase an ungraded ticket for $75, which will include access to Fluri's Clubhouse, a heated tent with a private restroom trailer and merch.
