Apollo’s Fire at Music Box Supper Club
Enjoy brunch and a show this weekend with a special live performance by Apollo’s Fire Trio that mixes baroque music, jazz and other genres to transport you to different time periods through sound. Lead vocalist Amanda Powell and instrumentalists Jeremy Bass and Anthony Taddeo blend an array of sounds from different backgrounds and artists for an unforgettable performance, whether it be a Shakespeare song mixed with an Italian folk dance or a Dowland lament meeting a blues-style piece. Cars in the Park Exotic Car Show
Calling all car junkies: this weekend there’s an event with your name on it. Crocker Park will become home to 50 different rare and exotic cars this Sunday for you to explore through during a special luxury car show. Courtesy of private collectors and owners, the show will include models on display such as a Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin and many others. Duck Tape Scavenger Hunt
This weekend, challenge yourself to a family fun treasure hunt around the city of Avon to find some amazing Duck Tape masterpieces. In lieu of this year’s Avon Heritage Duck Tape Festival, the local company is instead hosting a city-wide scavenger hunt where you’ll be tasked to find eight different sculptures that range from giant honey bees to Ohio’s state flower. MOCHA Exhibition Opening: Lauren Pearce
Known for her bold paintings and murals that can be found around Cleveland, local artist Lauren Pearce uses mixed media art to make captivating portraits to express themes such as identity, race and womanhood through vibrancy and color. For a special showing, Pearce will be showcasing a collection of her work in a solo exhibition titled When Color Heals The Rest. Hosted by the Museum of Creative Human Art, these new works by Pearce were curated by Antwoine Washington and will be showcased at the apartment gallery space in Mahall’s.
