Cleveland Jazz Orchestra in the City

You might recognize him from his YouTube channel where he has over 7,000 subscribers, but this weekend Mike Polk Jr. is live. Local Ohioan, and one of Cleveland Magazine’s Most Interesting People 2010, the comedian takes the stage at the Hard Rock Rocksino Comedy Zone: Club Velvet. Polk was also a writer for the Cleveland Plain Dealer where he wrote periodic columns about pop culture and humor in 2016. $20-$25. Little Italy’s Feast of the Assumption
Like we need another reason to visit Little Italy. The Feast Day of the Assumption of Mary celebrates the belief that God assumed the Virgin Mary into Heaven. Italian and Italian-American communities celebrate with colorful parading through the streets and firework displays. The Holy Rosary Church hosts a cavatelli dinner after the procession serving meatball cavatelli, salad, bread, beverage and cake. Free.
