Pay tribute to some of your favorite musicians during Mentor Rocks’ summer concert series. The East Side suburb brings in some of the best tribute bands from across the country for its shows at the Mentor Civic Amphitheater such as Aug. 10’s Uptown Funk, a Bruno Mars tribute band.
Expect the full Bruno Mars experience from the lighting to the choreography to the live music. The two-hour show features a Mars look-alike and sound-alike and backup musicians who perform Mars’ greatest hits and other R&B favorites.
What has become a tradition to many Mentor residents, the summer concert series is a great way to spend an evening with 10 to 12 food trucks and a variety of beer and wine available for purchase.
“It has been described as a mini Blossom [Music Center] by a lot of people that have attended,” says Ante Logarusic, the city’s community relations administrator.
