Edwins Too is already well-known for perfectly pairing its fine dining dishes with complimentary wine. Starting in October, it's hoping to do the same with live music by matching local, seasonal ingredients with local live music.
Starting Oct. 16 and running through Nov. 27, these Saturday Sessions feature six renowned acts in the jazz and world music space. Visitors can secure reservations for "dinner and a show" or "just a show."
“Entertainment, culture and cuisine … there is nothing better than a night out with live music and dinner on a Saturday in Cleveland. We know that there is a void to fill with the uncertainty of the return of live jazz here, and it was about time to bring some of this tradition, enchantment and magic back,” said Brandon Chrostowski, founder, CEO and president of Edwins Leadership & Restaurant Institute in a press release. “We can’t wait to shine a spotlight on this remarkable assortment of talent because live music, food and drinks truly awaken the soul.”
That uncertainty Chrostowski mentioned may be a reference to Nighttown, which had been offering jazz and luxurious dinners in Cleveland Heights since 1965 before closing earlier this year. Former owner Brendan Ring did, however, announce a sale to Red the Steakhouse earlier this month. The space is slated to reopen as Nighttown in 2022.
Edwins Too is the sister restaurant to Edwins, Chrostowski's flagship restaurant which provides formal restaurant training to formerly incarcerated individuals and those fighting addiction. A documentary on Chrostowski and that restaurant earned an Oscar nomination. After opening in 2020, Cleveland Magazine named Edwins Too one of its Best New Restaurants.
