Brite Winter is set to make its chilly return to the Flats West Bank in February, and it'll bring a locally focused lineup with it.
The annual music and arts festival, set for Feb. 24, will be headlined by Wanyama, a Cleveland funk, reggae and hip-hop band. Other performers will include Big Hoke, Esther Fitz, GRVE, Hello! 3D, Kid Tigrrr, Lauren Lanzaretta, LoConti, The Monday Program and more, according to a news release.
The fest will feature three stages, each with a genre focus: hip-hop, rock and funk.
Plus, two indoor spaces will showcase a lineup of local DJs. Now in its 15th year, Brite Winter will feature a "Snapshot" theme.

“This year, we worked to bring the festival back to its roots with musical acts from Cleveland and those with ties to Northeast Ohio,” says Emily Hornack, executive director of Brite Winter, in a news release. “We chose Wanyama to end the night because we know they’ll energize the crowd and get everyone moving with their blend of funk, reggae and hip-hop.”
The lineup features a few festival favorites, like Chayla Hope, who performed in Seafair as a festival headliner in 2015 — but placed emphasis on bringing new acts into the fold.
“This year, we’ll welcome lots and lots of new faces to Brite’s stages,” Hornack says in the release. “Keeping our commitment to staying fresh, our music review committee worked hard to give new talented acts a chance to play the festival this year.”
The festival will take place under Cleveland's Main Avenue Bridge, mostly outdoors, and will feature food trucks and local artists' creations and installations along with the musical performances.
Tickets ($12) to the festival are on sale now at britewinter.com. They'll be available at the door for $17. An upgraded ticket ($75) will also get attendees into Fluri's Clubhouse, a heated tent with a private restroom trailer and commemorative merch.
