CMA Virtual Chalk Festival
In celebration of how people have come together by chalking up their sidewalks during COVID-19, the Cleveland Museum of Art’s 31st annual Chalk Festival will be hosted virtually this year. Take part in this event by simply getting out your favorite chalk and picking a spot on your sidewalk to make a masterpiece surrounding the theme of community. Then, take a photo of the finished artwork and share it on social media with the hashtag #CMAChalkFestival. As a way to spark inspiration, CMA also prepared a Chalk Festival Toolkit that includes links to different artworks at the museum that connect to the theme of community, along with different chalking techniques, a guide to making your own chalk and a Spotify playlist to blast while bringing color to your sidewalk.
