Best Boutique: Collective Rose

Erica Mitchell, owner of Collective Rose, knows her clientele. The boutique’s inventory reflects today’s busy, capable woman who moves from the work world to life with family and friends to settings where she can express her creativity.

“We are contemporary and modern, but with a touch of Boho flair. I like to add patterns and texture, and I love crochet through fall,” says Mitchell, who opened her women’s “curated” clothing and accessory business online in 2018 and her shop on Chardon Square in 2022.

Mitchell believe's in building a wardrobe you’ll love long after the season ends. She thoughtfully curates elevated everyday staples, timeless pieces you'll reach for year after year and carefully selected statement styles that keep your closet feeling fresh. She focuses on versatile clothing that fits seamlessly into your everyday life while incorporating just the right amount of current styles.

Denim jeans. “A classic itself, but something that will also mix and match with a statement piece. We are in the straight leg/wide leg era now, but you can always go back  to the skinny leg.”

White or black tee. “A staple you can wear with that good pair of jeans or put it under a dress that has spaghetti straps.”

Go-to pair of sneakers. “Wear them running around doing errands, or if they are cute enough, to work with a cute pair of trousers like pencil pants.”

Classic black dress. “This is obvious, but always true. Dress it up or dress it down. But make sure it fits your body silhouette.”

Denim jacket. “I am a huge advocate. You can wear it to work or out somewhere.”

The shop also features a rotating collection of small business vendors offering handcrafted jewelry, personal care products, candles and other goods. It also occasionally hosts pop-up vendors during community events on the square.
