Make no mistake: you should come to 17 River Grille early and often if you have any hope in getting your hands on their Heavenly Biscuits ($6).
Served in a hot cast iron skillet, five melt-in-your-mouth cheddar and chive biscuits are sprinkled with turbinado sugar and covered with a dollop of honey butter, ensuring each flaky bite is sinfully sweet.
The appetizer is so popular, they sell upwards of 700-800 orders each week. The menu even comes with a warning: when they’re out, they’re out.
Luckily, executive chef Ryan Kelley has dedicated one team member to focus on just the task of making more than 100 orders each day so guests have a better chance at getting them. To double your chances, you can always snag the same biscuits from Lindey’s Lake House in the Flats.
“Biscuits tend to take a lot of hands-on tender love and care, and we’re making those fresh every day from scratch,” says Kelley. 17 River St., Chagrin Falls, 440-893-0797, 17rivergrille.com
