Lily Richard’s grandmother worked as a beautician in Cleveland for 40 years, and now Richard, too, has found her passion in bringing out people’s beauty and natural glow.
Richard started doing spray tans for herself and her friends as a hobby, but as word spread and Richard fell in love with the experience, she started CLE Glo Spray Tans in August 2018.
Richard uses vegan spray tans ($50-$60) from California-based brand Sjolie, whose solutions are vegan-certified by PETA, do not contain any parabens or erythrulose (chemicals common in other sprays) and are pregnancy friendly.
“Using an all-natural product, I’m surprised this wasn’t really that popular a long time ago, because it sits so well on so many different skin tones,” Richard says.
Unlike traditional sprays, the vegan solution doesn’t smell and contains a purple toner, which brings out a violet tone in your skin — so you don’t have to worry about turning orange.
“We went through 20 different solutions,” Richard says. “This one won every single time.” 13318 Madison Ave., Lakewood, 216-640-6359, clegloco.com
