Linda Barberic started creating her own teas more than five years ago when she was experiencing severe insomnia.
Now, the owner of Soma Tea has 15 therapeutic blends and nearly 20 tasting blends.
“Friends and family come to me with their issues, and I craft a blend to help them,” she says.
That led her to create her Canine Calmer Tea ($20). Her friend’s dog was having allergy problems and constantly itching, so Barberic mixed a tea that would help the pup get relief.
But she took it a step further, throwing in a few more ingredients to help other common ailments dogs experience.
The tea ended up being a cocktail of more than 15 all-natural herbs and roots such as rose hips to support immune systems, chamomile for anxiety, dill for smelly breath, kelp for protein and more.
“Our pets deserve quality in their food and in their health,” says Barberic. “This tea can serve as a helper with one issue such as anxiety or allergies, or it can be a daily serving of nutrients and vitamins to maintain their health.” 216-406-2033, somatea.com
