Supper club
Forget dinner and a movie - we want a side of live entertainment with our meal. Get both at the Music Box Supper Club, where managing partners Colleen and Mike Miller have struck a chord with music-hungry Clevelanders at their 550-seat, two-level venue in the West Bank of the Flats. Not only can we listen to musicians such as Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Allen Toussaint (Oct. 14), but we can dig into cuisine from chef Dennis Devies, who spent 14 summers cooking in St. Croix. His casual menu is laced with Caribbean-influences such as a tempura shrimp skewers appetizer and a range of hearty entrees from short ribs to sweet potato Gorgonzola ravioli. "We have three things Cleveland loves the most: music, food and drink," Mike says. 1148 Main Ave., Cleveland, 216-242-1250, musicboxcle.com
