Don't be fooled by the bright colors and minimalist design of Eleven By Seventeen's movie posters ($10-$25). There's a subversive side to Keith Ten Eyck's reimagining of Hollywood hype. Drawing on influences of Polish movie and protest posters, the self-taught artist takes films with pop-culture appeal and twists our expectations — "because I'm a weirdo," he explains. One of his best-sellers, Mrs. Doubtfire, portrays Pudgy and Grunge, the cartoon characters that open the movie. "It sets the standard of Robin Williams' character," he says. But there's a political statement in how Williams' clever-but-eccentric Daniel Hillard can't see his kids without becoming the British-accented nanny. "There's depth to that movie," he says. "It's more relevant than ever." 216-410-9741, keithist.com
