Like Indiana Jones, Cleveland's Ryan Florio hiked the Peruvian Andes and found Incan treasure. His gold rush came in the liquid form of Incan tea. Brewed by his guide over a campfire, the tea was made with purple corn, an antioxidant that is said to combat diabetes and certain cancerous cells. Impressed by the taste and its ability to ease his joint pain, Florio quit his job to start Inca Tea. "There's not a lot of robust flavor [in traditional tea] unless there are a lot of artificial flavors or sugars added," he says. Inca Tea ($7.99) adds neither. The cob of the purple corn lends sweetness, and organic, non-genetically-modified-organism ingredients in brews such as Peruvian Spiced Berry and Mountain of Mango enhance taste. "The only other place that you could find a comparable drink is if you travel to Peru," says Florio. It sounds fun, but we'll keep sipping this flavorful hometown mix. incatea.com
