Joining a new gym can be intimidating, but not at Results Fitness in Mayfield Heights.
“We’re the Cheers of gyms,” says owner and founder Josh Mekota. “We know everyone’s name. We know their goals.”
That sense of community is evident as soon as you walk in the doors. Seasoned members introduce themselves to you, casually chitchatting before getting down to business in a group fitness class.
Workouts focusing on metabolic resistance training, which builds muscles and torches fat, start at the beginning of each month and progress from there. There are usually four to five workouts, and you’ll see similar movement patterns as the month goes on. Expect to use kettlebells, suspension trainers, ropes, slam balls and more. But fear not — Mekota and two other full-time trainers are there to correct form and suggest modifications, as needed.
“If you’re consistent over the long run, you’re going to start to see results,” says Mekota.
