Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio have given birth to an entirely new generation of community leaders; some run major corporations, some give back to the community, still others labor on quietly, making sure that we move forward in these most difficult of times.
Through a variety of stories, Community Leader celebrates a few of the people and organizations making a difference, but thousands more exist. We must not forget the health care professionals and front-line workers across our region who also have stepped up. That includes everyone, from doctors, nurses and maintenance and sanitation personnel to cafeteria and food service workers. Not to mention the grocery store workers, truckers and farmers in our food supply chain who also have played an essential role in keeping our community running during the pandemic.
Of course, we would be remiss if we didn’t include all of the first responders, EMTs and fire and police forces. Each day, these brave warriors risk their lives, facing possible infection from an unseen enemy. And they often don’t receive the credit they deserve for their efforts.
Be that as it may, we wanted to give readers a chance to meet a few of these folks and companies.
