Here's a rundown of some recent changes in leadership across Northeast Ohio organizations in 2024:
ArtsinStark, which enhances arts and culture in Stark County through community programs and grants, will see Maureen “Mo” Ater become the organization’s CEO June 1.
The Center for Community Solutions (CCS) tagged Emily Campbell as its new president and CEO. The organization focuses on health, social and economic issues. Campbell was formerly CCS’s chief operating officer.
Cleveland Ballet named Timour Bourtasenkov, co-founder of the Carolina Ballet, as its new artistic director. Cleveland Ballet board member Larry Goodman is serving as the company’s interim CEO.
Cleveland Guardians said “play ball!” to its new manager, Stephen Vogt, who replaced Terry “Tito” Francona after 11 seasons. Vogt, whose nickname is “Everything Bagel,” was part of the 2021 World Championship Atlanta Braves
Cleveland Leadership Center will see President and CEO Marianne Crosley transition out of those roles this year. Crosley has held the position since 2010.
Climate Mayors, a bipartisan network representing 48 states that works to promote climate action, has named Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb as chair of the organization.
CNB’s ERIEBANK has promoted Wesley Gillespie to bank president. He follows David Zimmer, who accepted a new role as executive regional director.
Downtown Akron Partnership named Kimberly Beckett to vice president, and she also will serve as interim president.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland’s president and CEO, Loretta Mester, will retire June 30, after holding the position since 2014.
JumpStart, a nonprofit that supports startup companies, named Julie Jacono as its new CEO. Jacono steps in for JumpStart’s founding CEO Ray Leach, who is working on a venture capital fund.
Preformed Line Products Co. (PLP) board of directors approved Dennis McKenna as CEO of the global energy and communications solutions provider. McKenna replaces Robert Ruhlman who becomes executive chairman of the company.
Premier Bank named Jack Schneider as the company’s new Cleveland market president.
Goodyear tapped Mark Stewart, former Stellantis (Chrysler) COO of North America, to be its president and CEO. Stewart took over for Rich Kramer Jan. 29 after his 24 years with the company.
Sherwin-Williams announced Heidi Petz as its new CEO. She had served as the company’s president (a title she will retain) and COO. Petz is the 10th CEO for the company, which marks its 158th year in 2024.
