Oswald Cos.
Education: Padua Franciscan High School
First Job: Cleveland Press paper route
Toughest Challenge: Growing up without a father. He died when I was 10 years old.
Greatest Inspiration: My mother. She sacrificed her life to keep me and my four sisters together as a family when relatives wanted to split us up. My mother had no job, no formal training and no driver’s license when my father died, and while it was a struggle, she found a way to keep us all together under one roof.
Favorite Quote: “On your best days, be great; on your worst days, be good; every other day, get better.” — Jim Tressel
Who I Would Call for Advice: My father,
if he was alive. Now, I call my cousin, Terry Fergus. He has always been there for me when I needed him.
How I Motivate Others: I try to help people realize that they can accomplish far more than they ever thought they were capable of. Talent is a gift, Elite is a choice, and by constantly striving for excellence they learn that anything is possible.
Best Advice: My father told me when I was young, “Never get outhustled.”
Proudest Moment: Watching my children succeed
What I’d Tell 16-Year-Old Me: ”Don’t waste a minute of your life — it goes by fast.”
