Arthritis Foundation, Northeastern Ohio
Education: Bachelor’s degree, The Ohio State University
Toughest Challenge: The impact that the pandemic has had on our organization and the nonprofit industry
Greatest Inspiration: My father, a Vietnam veteran battling rheumatoid arthritis while undergoing cancer treatment. His journey is a daily reminder why the work we do at the Arthritis Foundation is so important. His positive attitude reminds me to choose kindness — you never know what someone may be going through.
Who I Would Call for Advice: Darby Schwartz, my predecessor, professional mentor and friend
How I Motivate Others: Leading by example and simply “doing the work”
Most Inspiring Person: An Arthritis Foundation volunteer. Our volunteers have moved mountains. Their passion and dedication to our mission have advanced arthritis treatments, vital resources and our work toward a cure.
