What Keeps Me Up at Night: I admit, I don’t sleep that much on a good day. But this year, everything related to COVID-19 is keeping me up at night. One day, it’s worrying about sending my boys back to school or navigating virtual learning at home. The next day, it’s the current financial loss for the Zoo Society and trying to think creatively to build revenue and keep our supporters engaged.
Most Important Skill: Communications. Strong written and verbal communication skills are so important for a professional in any field. As a leader, I am mindful that words matter, and the message we put out to our members, donors and my staff and colleagues helps convey our strategy, our needs and our successes.
