Tracy Strobel
Cuyahoga County Public Library
Education: Master’s degree in library science, State University of New York-Albany
Favorite Quote: “Do the most important thing in the most efficient way.” This little mantra keeps me from feeling overwhelmed when the to-do list stresses me out.
The Advice I’d Give Someone New: I always encourage new staff to use their “fresh eyes” to find inefficiencies in our procedures or suggest new and better ways to serve our customers. It is a great way to identify opportunities for improvement.
Proudest Moment: Passing a levy to secure the library’s financial future in the challenging 2020 election
What I’d Tell 16-Year-Old Me: Hard work and perseverance are more important than academic achievement. You can be an average student and still achieve professional success.
Hobby/Passion: I’m a lifelong equestrian. I ride nearly every day and continue to compete in the Olympic sport of eventing.
