THIS WAY OUT
Hidden away underneath the Beachland Ballroom, this tiny all-things-vintage shop has a nice selection of used albums, with lots of classic rock, including the Beatles, Pink Floyd and this used copy of The Who's Who's Next ($5). 15711 Waterloo Road, Cleveland, 216-458-1156, beachlandballroom.com
BLUE ARROW RECORDS
Blue Arrow is all retro, from its adjoining vintage clothing shop to its floor covered in shellacked album covers. It carries a deep selection of used rock and jazz records. We picked up a used copy of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' Damn the Torpedoes ($6). 16001 Waterloo Road, Cleveland, 216-486-2415, bluearrowrecords.com
MY MIND'S EYE RECORDS
Other West Side spots have disappeared, but My Mind's Eye Records rolls on. Selling albums on one side and CDs on the other, the place has a nice mix of new-release vinyl and used finds such as this copy of the Beach Boys' Endless Summer ($6.50). 13727 Madison Ave., Lakewood, 216-521-6660, mymindseyerecords.com
LOOP TREMONT
Take your time sorting through the new and used rock and jazz records upstairs. Surrounded by local art and the scent of brewed coffee, there's really no reason to hurry. We found a nice used copy of Elvis' Moody Blue ($8). Don't miss the $1 bins. 2180 W. 11th St., Cleveland, 216-298-5096, facebook.com/loopintremont
MUSIC SAVES
This place is all about still-in-the-shrinkwrap, high-end vinyl versions of new and classic indie rock releases. Some can be pricey, but many, like Pavement's Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain ($11.99), also come with a code for a digital download. 15801 Waterloo Road, Cleveland, 216-481-1875, musicsaves.com
