We’ve got the solution to all those tired Ugly Christmas Sweater parties your friends have been bribing you into going to for the last however many years. Legacy Village’s Ugly Sweater Bar Hop Dec. 15 lets us strut our best festive fashion nightmares without being bound to one person’s living room. Here are three reasons to go.
The drinks: While a handful of the Lyndhurst shopping center’s bars and restaurants are getting in on the fun with food and drink specials, Brio Tuscan Grille ($6) will be pouring festive-but-fancy Apple Cider Martinis ($6) made with brandy and apple juice, while Stir Crazy's Candy Cane Mule ($4) uses sake in place of vodka for an Asian twist on a Moscow Mule.
The photo opp: Never mind the fact that you gave up on Santa Claus when he didn’t deliver a skateboard when you were 8 years old. The big guy will be in attendance for plenty of selfies (and even some professional photo opportunities) during the bar hop. We’ve got a couple Christmas wish suggestions for when you’re sitting on Santa’s lap: A Cleveland Browns win, a mild winter or maybe just an endless supply of coffee to fight the next day’s hangover.
The look: You’ve been waiting all year to bust out that Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer sweater with an actual light-up nose you bought on clearance last year. So don’t just subject one small group of people to it. The bar hop doesn’t have a set schedule, giving you the chance to expose as many people as possible to your sweater in all its glorious hideousness.
