Freaky Friday
The Disney classic and 1972 children’s novel by Mary Rodgers opens this Saturday with a fresh adaptation directed by Christopher Ashley (Memphis, Rocky Horror Picture Show). A contemporary update of the movie and book, playwright Bridget Carpenter’s offers a musical comedy. EggSperiment
In full Easter spirit, the Great Lakes Science Center is banking on this year’s holiday to be nothing less than egg-cellent. Good Friday Concert
Celebrate the Easter holiday with a daylong festivity at Trinity Cathedral, one of Cleveland’s most historical cathedrals. The program starts with a midday liturgy of hymns and prayers and an afternoon jazz and poetry show. Return for an awe-inspiring evening concert at 7:30 p.m. of Mozart’s Requiem, Allegri’s Miserere and Liszt’s Evocation of the Sistine Chapel featuring the Trinity Chamber Singers and Cathedral Choir, as led by Todd Wilson. Honeybucket and TriHearn
The mustache-wearing, whiskey-drinking newgrass duo responsible headlines a folk-tastic evening at Nighttown. Honeybucket’s singer-guitarist Adam Reifsnyder and mandolinist Brendan O’Malley offer high-energy, pop-infused singalongs.
