EarthFest
With more than 270 environmentally conscious exhibitors in nine eco areas, Cleveland’s nature homage and educational extravaganza has a collection of petting zoos, sheep dog herding, interactive tree canopies and dozens of pro-Earth speakers, dignitaries and musicians at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds. More than 100,000 buttery-colored daffodils are in fresh bloom for peak sighting. Stroll or walk through the grounds of the historic resting place. Record Store Day Celebration
Waterloo District’s annual honoring of the national holiday is a local gem for music lovers. Colorful and custom-made record manufacturer Wax Mage headline Beachland Ballroom & Tavern’s Saturday brunch with a one-of-a-kind pop-up shop and DJ-filled matinee show. Stay for local tunes from rockers Bummed Out and Forager, along with spinners Spoon Bros. One of those folks who doesn’t actually own a record player? Enter a raffle to join the club. Dance.r.evolution
Graffiti, hip-hip and classical dance combine for a groundbreaking collaborative piece by Neos Dance Theatre. Spearheaded by resident choreographer Mary-Elizabeth Fenn, the graffiti-pop piece puts Neos dancers, along with YouTube sensation Ryan Rosinski, dancers from ArtSparks and more, in an urban environment created by Cleveland DJ Mister BradleyP with murals by the Akron Art Bomb Brigade.
