Steel Yard Soundsystem Launch Party
A new sound is coming to Cleveland. Soundsystem culture, which creates immersive sound through custom engineered speaker stacks, has found its way from Jamaica to a warehouse 10 minutes outside of downtown. Cleveland Summer Beerfest
Last summer, hundreds gathered at a rooftop park to drink good beer and listen to good music. Unsurprisingly, the combination was a hit, so round two returns. Larchmere PorchFest
Spend a lazy Saturday lounging and listening to music with this fest that invites you to set up camping chairs or blankets on neighborhood front lawns as porches become musician’s stages. Wine Tasting at Cain Park
Class it up with wine and live jazz in the park. Sip on pours from Saxy Wines in the Evans Amphitheater courtyard. Stan Hywet’s Father’s Day Car Show
Take your dad on a trip that’s as close as Akron but feels as far away as the ‘50s. Stan Hywet’s annual car show has showcased a collection of classic, antique and collector cars for the past 60 years. But with this year’s diamond anniversary, they’ve revved up their offerings. While car aficionados check out the 1957 auto show collection, kids can keep busy on the pedal car racetrack or at with mobile ‘50s diner the Sock Hop Soda Shop, which hosts a hula hoop contest, offers old-school dancing and serves diner fare. $5-$14, June 18, 9 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., 714 N.
