Hanson and Trent Reznor formed Slam Bamboo in the late '80s and played a packed Blossom as an opener for the Michael Stanley Band. Hanson now has a third solo album on the way. "I wanted to put something of high quality out that's a good representation of what I'm about," he says.

Crop Bistro & Bar
In the '90s, Schimoler toured the country with Beggar's Tomb. After opening Crop, he formed the rock group Cream of the Crop. Todd Rundgren sat in with the band last year. "Every menu item is a song," Schimoler says, "and every song is built upon rhythms, melodies and harmonics."

Boccuzzi keeps a guitar in his office, used to play in San Francisco's Back Burner Blues Band and released two CDs of original music while living in Italy. "Most of my influences would be hard rock, Led Zeppelin-type stuff," he says. "As far as guitar influences go, I like the harder blues."

Prior to opening Melt, Fish recorded and toured with Cleveland garage-punk band the Chargers Street Gang and now plays with indie rockers Ohio Civil War. "My original goal was to play music to support myself, even if that meant staying in a studio apartment and living off Taco Bell," Fish says.
